This school was built by Mr N W Frogly and completed in 1883: Mrs Mary Maddicks was the first teacher and she lived in the four-room house which is attached to the classroom. In 1901 a new classroom was added in a sympathetic way using similar materials to the original classroom. In 1904 the verandahs to the teacher's house had some weatherboard alterations and additions but these additions have since been removed.
